“BRING YOUR PASSION WITH YOU ALL THE TIME BUT DON’T FOLLOW IT. – Mike Rowe”
I have my passion, you have a passion, and we all have passions in our lives. However, what if your passion will lead you to nothing? What if your passion makes you feel alone – sad – stress – and even depress? Is this a reason why you lost yourself? Why you lost so many opportunities outside?
I am not saying that having a passion makes you bad but putting some limitations on it. How can I explain this? Well, this is for every people who just started their journey. Of course! You have your passion in reaching your goals in life, you have your passion about your future, you have your passion about what – why – how you should do and to become in your life, you have your passion in everything you do BUT, at the end of the day you just got rejected. Well, I am just sharing this for you to know what’s the reality and this is just my opinion and based on real life (which is my cousin).
Here’s the story:
She is a goal-oriented person. She is smart. She graduated with honor at one of the most prestigious universities here in the Philippines. One of her goals is to study abroad and to have a master’s degree. That’s her passion in life, that’s all she wanted to become what she really wants to be. She have done everything she needs to do but she got rejected so many times. By that time, she feel sad, heartbroken and depressed. We lost our communication for the longest time. And I don’t know anything what happened to her until we got our communication back through messenger. And she opened to me everything. I just got relieved by that time after she confessed me everything. I’m so happy that she already knows how to share her problems in life and being so open to me. I think we get closer as a cousin.
Well, this is just a short story because I don’t want to expose everything what we have discussed. I love her and I respect her privacy. I just wanted to share with you on what she (we) have learned in life.
There’s a video clip below, she sent me this earlier. And you should also watch it too.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED?
Don’t rush things. Do one at a time. You may have lost yourself and opportunities outside if you keep following your goals. It’s okay to be rejected for you to be a better person and to learn in life that not everything you wants, you get. Well, there’s still another way to reach those by taking the “ladders” in life and have learned in every step of the way. Be open!
What do you do in life? How did you spend your day? What is your ambition? What would you want to be in the future? Is that really your passion?
I am Vince. I wasn’t able to finish my studies because of some financial problem that I have encountered. I am the eldest. It has always been my dream to finish my studies and to become what I really wanted to be in the future. I worked at the early age. I became a sales clerk, a kitchen helper at the Hotel, a kitchen crew at fast-food chain. I also became a Content Writer and worked home-based and paid via PayPal. I spend my whole-life with work, friends, and other things. I may not have the higher degree to show people what best is in me. Atleast I’m trying to do something’s worth in life. Maybe, it is not the right for me to shine. And I really do believe that every stars in the universe has the perfect time to shine brighter. And that what makes me keep stepping forward and learn something new in life that proves that the poverty is not a deterrent in pursuing one’s dreams.
W R I T I N G – is one of the things I loved the most. And most of the time I would love to express my emotions through writing poems, inspirational & motivational messages, stories, etc.
Finding yourself who really you are? We all have the identity crisis issues. But this is not a deterrent of pursuing your goals in life. I do believe that the time has passing by, you may able to know and discover yourself – specifically your passion with.
The best feeling in the world is you are able to know what you really like and wanted to be or what really your passion is. As of now, this may not be called as my passion (writing) but I’m happy. I am able to do such things that makes me happy and I think it’s all that matters.
As long as you have your life, you have also your trials. We must embrace the trials, you can run to your problems today but when the tomorrow comes, problems will always find you. We cannot deny the fact that the life we have facing right now, is very difficult. And we must face it and take all the risks. Sufferings is just a temporary in life that we need to overcome of it in order to grow not only physically, emotionally, intellectually but spiritually. Sufferings produces PERSEVERANCE, perseverance produces CHARACTER, and lastly character produces HOPE.
Holding on is symbolizes how really strong you are and the persevere is in you. And the life that you wanted to be lays ahead upon on you. Hold on something’s unfailing.
We do believe that we have a lot of dreams to reached. Everyone must have a wish for his life not to be just a physical existence but a real happy life full of aims and their fulfillment, adventures and complications. In addition, dream is also a part of our existence that we may able to pursue it.
Allow yourself to dream and when you dream big. Allow yourself to learn anything in this world.Be open-minded. And when you learned something, allow yourself to share other people on what you have learned.Be generous. And when you can decide to set goals, be brave enough to face the reality that the life is very difficult. Instead you think that it is difficult, take it easier. Continue what you have started. Life must go on. And most important, allow yourself to be determined. And when you can think that you can achieve it, allow yourself to accept any failures in life.Maturity is one of the requirements in life. Be mature enough. In that way, it may help you to lead the right path in your life.
Fight for your dreams. Never learn to give up because God is always here with us. God is bigger than your problems. Problem is not the hindrance of success, same as the poverty. Eliminate the negative thoughts, surrendering ideas, and immaturity in order to achieve optimism. Never let go of your dreams. LASTLY, DON’T JUST DREAM SIMPLE BUT TO DREAM BIG. 🙂
