“BRING YOUR PASSION WITH YOU ALL THE TIME BUT DON’T FOLLOW IT. – Mike Rowe”
I have my passion, you have a passion, and we all have passions in our lives. However, what if your passion will lead you to nothing? What if your passion makes you feel alone – sad – stress – and even depress? Is this a reason why you lost yourself? Why you lost so many opportunities outside?
I am not saying that having a passion makes you bad but putting some limitations on it. How can I explain this? Well, this is for every people who just started their journey. Of course! You have your passion in reaching your goals in life, you have your passion about your future, you have your passion about what – why – how you should do and to become in your life, you have your passion in everything you do BUT, at the end of the day you just got rejected. Well, I am just sharing this for you to know what’s the reality and this is just my opinion and based on real life (which is my cousin).
Here’s the story:
She is a goal-oriented person. She is smart. She graduated with honor at one of the most prestigious universities here in the Philippines. One of her goals is to study abroad and to have a master’s degree. That’s her passion in life, that’s all she wanted to become what she really wants to be. She have done everything she needs to do but she got rejected so many times. By that time, she feel sad, heartbroken and depressed. We lost our communication for the longest time. And I don’t know anything what happened to her until we got our communication back through messenger. And she opened to me everything. I just got relieved by that time after she confessed me everything. I’m so happy that she already knows how to share her problems in life and being so open to me. I think we get closer as a cousin.
Well, this is just a short story because I don’t want to expose everything what we have discussed. I love her and I respect her privacy. I just wanted to share with you on what she (we) have learned in life.
There’s a video clip below, she sent me this earlier. And you should also watch it too.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED?
Don’t rush things. Do one at a time. You may have lost yourself and opportunities outside if you keep following your goals. It’s okay to be rejected for you to be a better person and to learn in life that not everything you wants, you get. Well, there’s still another way to reach those by taking the “ladders” in life and have learned in every step of the way. Be open!
THAT’S ALL FOR TODAY! THANKS FOR READING!
What do you do in life? How did you spend your day? What is your ambition? What would you want to be in the future? Is that really your passion?
I am Vince. I wasn’t able to finish my studies because of some financial problem that I have encountered. I am the eldest. It has always been my dream to finish my studies and to become what I really wanted to be in the future. I worked at the early age. I became a sales clerk, a kitchen helper at the Hotel, a kitchen crew at fast-food chain. I also became a Content Writer and worked home-based and paid via PayPal. I spend my whole-life with work, friends, and other things. I may not have the higher degree to show people what best is in me. Atleast I’m trying to do something’s worth in life. Maybe, it is not the right for me to shine. And I really do believe that every stars in the universe has the perfect time to shine brighter. And that what makes me keep stepping forward and learn something new in life that proves that the poverty is not a deterrent in pursuing one’s dreams.
W R I T I N G – is one of the things I loved the most. And most of the time I would love to express my emotions through writing poems, inspirational & motivational messages, stories, etc.
Finding yourself who really you are? We all have the identity crisis issues. But this is not a deterrent of pursuing your goals in life. I do believe that the time has passing by, you may able to know and discover yourself – specifically your passion with.
The best feeling in the world is you are able to know what you really like and wanted to be or what really your passion is. As of now, this may not be called as my passion (writing) but I’m happy. I am able to do such things that makes me happy and I think it’s all that matters.
So, how about yours?
Dear other self,
Its been a years since you changed.
I know there are some things that we need to let go of the past in order for us to be happy and free. I know that your hate cages all the good things about you. And it’s not good for you and it’s not also good for your heart. How can you be totally happy if you still holding into something that’s unnecessarily? It brings so much weighs to your heart – carrying all the hatred and burdens in your heart – and that makes bitterness in life.
I know that it is hard to forgive someone. It is hard to forgive those people who broke your trust. Nobody’s perfect. Yes it is, how can we learn if we don’t want to allow ourselves to be learned from the mistakes in the past. Past is something that will lead us to the brighter future that makes us to be strong and wise. You know what? Forgiving is a special gift from God. Why ? because it is the only way that makes our heart freely from the burdens inside of our hearts – from your hate to love..
It gives us peaceful living that everybody wants to. Well, its time for you to forgive them for you able to feel what life is it.
